Send a VIN and a readable photo of the marking of the old headlight, if it is preserved. Specify the side of the installation and attach a general view of the car. The names LED, Matrix or Laser are not a catalog number. Different versions of the optics of the same model may require different components and work during installation. The catalogue and check on the vehicle must confirm the proposed position; matching the shape of the hull does not replace this check. If the number on the case and the offer of the seller are different, find out the reason before payment.

The regional version requires separate approval.

A headlight from a car from the UAE does not become suitable for any car in Russia automatically. Clarify the original market of the car, markings, light performance and installation requirements at the profile service. Do not accept the promise “all the same” without confirmation by a specific number. The seller may provide photos and details of the parts, but suitability for your vehicle and the necessary checks are determined separately. This issue is better solved before the ransom, when you can still choose another option.

Body, blocks and wiring: compare the same sets

The offer can only include a housing, a housing with a part of the blocks or a complete agreed set. Ask for a list of components and photos of their markings. Check the presence of lids, connectors and mounts, as well as the admissibility of transferring your serviceable blocks. The possibility of such a transfer confirms the service, not the similarity of details in the photo. When comparing prices, note that you will have to buy more in Moscow: a cheap incomplete headlight may be inconvenient for urgent repairs.

For used optics, you need pictures of glass, the back, all mounts, connectors and junctions of the body. Separately ask to show fogging, cracks, repair of fasteners and damage to protective coatings, if any. Find out what condition is acceptable for you. Separately, check whether these works are included in the repair budget. If the installer cannot confirm compatibility from the data sent, request the missing markings from the seller. Ordering an expensive electronic part with the expectation of subsequent adaptation without verification is a weak basis for an accurate estimate.

How to get a headlight without confusion in the configuration

In the specification, note the left or right side, number, condition, incoming blocks and known defects. For two headlights, mark positions separately. The packaging must protect the glass, protruding mounts and electronics; the composition of the protection should be coordinated before transportation. Upon receipt in Moscow, check the order with the photos of the shipment and the list of components. The procedure for checking the operability and the conditions for considering discrepancies, check with the supplier in advance.
