What data is needed to search

Specify the VIN, make, model, required part and city in Russia. Attach the OEM or photos of the filmed part. Note whether you are considering a new original and used original, whether cosmetic defects are acceptable and whether assembly is necessary. For rare configuration, attach photos of the installed equipment: the designation of the model itself does not determine all options.

The regional version matters.

Cars of the same body may have different headlights, electronic modules and mounting elements. An advert “fits this model” requires catalog and labeling checks. For the headlight, specify the side, regional version and complete units; for the radar - number, mount and connector. Do not buy a similar position without proof of compatibility with a particular machine.

Compare the same sets

Set the order into separate positions. In the bumper, coordinate grilles, brackets, stubs, sensors and wiring. For the engine, write down the code and list of attachments. If the seller offers only the case, its price is not comparable to the full assembly. Ask for a photo of all the elements included in one set and a list of what you will have to buy.

Before packaging, record the marking and condition. Headlights protect against pressure on the glass and mounting, body panels - from bending and contact with neighboring places. The size and weight of the packaged cargo are needed, since the volume can affect the tariff. For a large order, agree in advance on the marking of seats and the list of details in each box.

Record the seller, the recipient of the payment, the specific set, the defects identified and the conditions of return. How to Get Comparable Proposals

First, agree on the same requirements for two or three options: new or used original, exact number, kit composition and permissible defects. The price of one bare door is not comparable to the price of a door with glass, lock and wiring. Ask for a list of included items and photos. Then add the costs of missing components and installation. If the number is different from the original number, ask for confirmation of substitutability from the directory for your VIN. Appropriate appearance by itself does not prove compatibility. For urgent repairs, check when the item is actually available for purchase. An announcement on the supplier’s website does not amount to a confirmed presence. The proposal shall state the condition of the particular part and the date of inspection. If the client allows for multiple options, it is helpful to prioritize speed, condition, or full budget.

Commission 25%: an example of understandable estimates

The cost of parts and our work is $2,500 before adding logistics. Packaging, transportation and customs payments are not included in the commission’s database. The minimum cost of spare parts in the order is $ 1,000. This example shows the formula rather than the actual price of specific details. In the estimate, ask for individual lines: goods, commission, additional check if necessary, packaging, international transportation and costs in the country of receipt. Clarify the currency and the order of fixing the value. If part of the cost has not yet been confirmed, it should be marked as preliminary. Do not compare the price to the terminal with the offer to the door: the volume of services should coincide.

What to clarify about transportation and liability

Before the purchase, determine the end point of the service and the contractor of each site. Find out who transfers the cargo to the carrier, what transport documents the customer receives and who organizes local delivery. For long and fragile parts, coordinate the protection of the edges and fasteners in advance. After packaging, the real dimensions and weight are requested: they can change the preliminary calculation. Separately discuss actions in case of delay, damage and shortage. If insurance is offered, specify coverage and treatment; the word “insured” does not describe all conditions. The duration of the route is confirmed for a specific shipment. Before payment, it is useful to have a written list of agreed details, photos of the status and communication procedure after transfer to the carrier.

For a large order, it is convenient to prepare a table: one line per position. If part of the data is unknown, then specify: the specialist will clarify them when selecting. Do not invent a number and do not replace the exact VIN with a similar car. After receiving the offer, check that it saves your requirements, not just the total amount.
